Perfect Views From Above the Slopes at The 10th, Vail

There are lots of ways you can get to a fancy lunch. You could catch a train, an Uber, your friend might come and pick you up. But at the 10th, you board a gondola to get to the front door. Located at MidVail, this upscale restaurant has been architecturally designed to take in the majestic views of Gore Range.

Whether you’re taking time off the slopes to refuel (the staff will provide a pair of slippers so you can remove your ski boots) or have simply booked a Lift and Lunch ticket to get you to the top of Vail Mountain, you’ll enjoy the ambience, service and the food when you arrive.

Order something simple, like a burger or pastrami sandwich, or load up the table with French onion soup, chicken pot pie, elk chilli and the mountain’s favourite truffle fries.

Not surprisingly, this is a popular spot, so bookings are highly recommended. If you’re out skiing for the day and decide to drop by at the last minute, relax at the bar until there’s a free table or, if the day is crisp and clear, take a spot on the terrace, breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy those views.

In case you were wondering, the restaurant gets its name from the 10th Mountain Division, which trained in Vail Valley before World War II.
